Data Scientist Contractor place Indianapolis, Indiana calendar_today 24 Apr 2026 Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. You will build end‑to‑end ML pipelines and configure Databricks Genie to enable natural language-driven insights.

Rate Range:

$53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Data Scientist job responsibilities include: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Databricks (MLflow, Spark ML, Python) and manage end‑to‑end ML pipelines. Leverage the Databricks Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) to build scalable, governed, and high‑quality data solutions. Configure and optimize Databricks Genie to enable natural language-driven self‑service analytics for business users. Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable data ingestion, transformation, and performance‑optimized Spark jobs. Create semantic layers and curated datasets to support advanced analytics, AI/BI workloads, and natural language querying. Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into actionable insights and communicate complex results clearly.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning (10+ years total experience preferred per client need). Strong hands‑on expertise with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog). Pay Details:
