This role is committed to ensuring all employees meet appropriate standards for employment. Administrate criminal background checks of incoming employees, including but not limited to processing, recordkeeping and advancing for further review as applicable. Administrate fingerprinting of incoming employees, including but not limited to scheduling, processing and recordkeeping. Ensure Dallas ISD maintains compliance with all employee criminal history policies and procedures. Ensure up to date compliance with all entities related to background processes including but not limited to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), IDEMIA and the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Maintain up to date knowledge the district's criminal history policy and assist in responding to inquiries. Assist in organizing and coordinating the process of fingerprinting and background documents. Assist in facilitation of a transparent system for eligibility in accordance with state law and board policy. Communicate and correspond with employees, HCM staff, department heads, and outside vendors on status of background and fingerprint results. Collect statistics and results to track progress toward goals. Keep abreast of technical and professional developments affecting assigned responsibilities. Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency); Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred. Entry level with direct background screenings, data management and maintenance experience preferred. A desire to work in a relentless and outcomes focused environment. Outstanding self-awareness, desire to grow as an individual and put students first in all decisions. Willingness to work beyond the confines of the job description to contribute to a powerful team committed to educational equity and student achievement. Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive data. Ability to organize and maintain high volumes of data.
