DBA

PURPOSE Overall administration and maintenance of our in-house and cloud-based databases to ensure that all applications that depend on these databases are functioning correctly.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide support to the development and technical staff Monitor database performance and resolve any issues with performance Monitor and Maintain Database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuilds/defragmentation and statistics Install, upgrade and maintain all database software Maintain documentation where applicable Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery testing Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems field of study from an accredited college or university, or 4 years equivalent work experience in a database administrator role Preferred Skills 2+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and newer 1+ years experience working experience with Always-On HADAR 2+ years experience working experience with Index configuration 2+ years experience working experience with Transaction Replication 2+ years experience writing SQL query language and best practices for its usage Exposure to source control systems, such as Team Foundation Server, Dev Ops Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety
