Job Requirements San Diego, CA Top Secret/SCI Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified $75,000 - $80,000 Job Description Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Center Lead to support a company focused on delivering secure enterprise infrastructure, network operations, and data center support services for a Navy customer. This position is 100% on-site in San Diego, CA . The Data Center Lead will serve as the primary on-site resource responsible for coordinating daily data center activities, supporting infrastructure deployments, and ensuring successful communication between engineering teams and leadership. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in modernizing and maintaining mission-critical systems supporting national defense operations. Responsibilities for the Data Center Lead include: Coordinate and prioritize on-site data center operations while serving as the primary point of contact for engineering teams and management. Perform rack and stack installations, hardware deployments, equipment relocations, and decommissioning activities. Install and manage structured cabling utilizing cable matrices and industry best practices. Support network, server, and virtualization infrastructure deployments alongside engineering teams responsible for system configuration. Provide status updates, troubleshoot operational issues, and assist with implementation of new infrastructure initiatives. Required Qualifications for the Data Center Lead include: 5+ years of experience supporting data center operations, network infrastructure, or technical laboratory environments. Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking environments, physical servers, VMware vSphere, and enterprise data center hardware. Knowledge of LAN, SAN, network cabling, hardware installation, infrastructure support, and security-focused environments. High School Diploma or GED required. Active DoD IAT Level II Certification and an Operating System/Application Certification (MTA, MCSA, MCTS, or equivalent). Ability to obtain and maintain any required government clearance. Compensation for the Data Center Lead include:
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
