Approximately 6:00/7:00 AM-2:00/3:00 PM; hours may vary by project needs Position Overview Tek One Solutions is seeking experienced Level II Data Center Technicians for an immediate opportunity supporting a data center project in Davenport, Iowa. This position is designed for technicians with approximately 3-4 years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage installation, or data center infrastructure. Technicians will support cable installation, device and panel wiring, terminations, and related construction activities. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity , with eligibility for conversion after completing approximately 1,040 hours , subject to client approval and employment requirements. Responsibilities Pull, route, dress, and secure low-voltage cabling Wire and terminate panels and associated devices Perform copper and structured-cabling terminations Install and organize cabling according to project specifications Follow construction drawings, cable schedules, and onsite instructions Maintain accurate cable identification and labeling Support equipment-room and data center infrastructure installations Inspect completed work for cleanliness, accuracy, and proper cable management Assist with troubleshooting and correcting installation deficiencies Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all project safety requirements and site procedures Coordinate effectively with leads, supervisors, and other trades Meet daily production and quality expectations Required Qualifications Approximately 3-4 years of relevant data center, structured cabling, telecommunications, or commercial low-voltage experience Hands-on experience pulling and terminating cable Experience wiring low-voltage panels and devices Ability to work independently while following project direction Ability to read basic construction drawings, cable schedules, or installation plans Strong understanding of professional cable routing, dressing, labeling, and termination practices Ability to work in an active construction environment Dependable attendance and professional jobsite conduct OSHA 10 certification at minimum; OSHA 30 is also accepted Ability to provide required job-ready hand tools and PPE Preferred Qualifications Previous data center or mission-critical construction experience Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6A installation experience Experience with racks, cabinets, patch panels, or equipment-room buildouts Conduit installation or pathway experience Cable testing and troubleshooting experience Experience working from ladders or lifts Background supporting large commercial or industrial construction projects Screening and Onboarding Selected candidates must complete: Internal qualification conversation Client resume review and approval Criminal background check Five-panel drug screening OSHA 10 verification Required site orientation The complete project address and site-specific reporting instructions will be provided following client approval.
