Database Developer

Description We are looking for a Database Developer to support a growing portfolio of data-focused initiatives. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can turn incoming database requests into reliable, well-structured solutions that improve data access, performance, and usability. The role will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of SQL Server-based assets while partnering with stakeholders to deliver practical, high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance database solutions that address newly assigned project needs and support ongoing business objectives.
• Develop, test, and optimize T-SQL code, including complex queries, views, and stored procedures for efficient data processing.
• Create and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data accurately across systems and reporting environments.
• Analyze existing database structures and recommend improvements that strengthen performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot database issues, resolve defects, and implement fixes to ensure stable and dependable operation.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to clarify requirements, translate needs into database deliverables, and meet project timelines.
• Document database logic, data movement processes, and technical specifications to support maintainability and knowledge sharing Requirements
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions in Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Strong command of Microsoft SQL and T-SQL for writing, troubleshooting, and refining database code.
• Proven ability to build and maintain stored procedures for data processing and application support.
• Practical experience designing and managing ETL processes for reliable data integration.
• Solid understanding of database performance tuning, query optimization, and data quality best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple database assignments and deliver accurate work in a deadline-driven setting.
