The Data Center Technician (L1-3) supports the physical infrastructure of a hyperscale environment, focusing on both Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) projects. This role requires a skilled professional capable of handling structured cabling, hardware installations, and troubleshooting to maintain seamless network operations.

$20 to $32Per Hour BOE Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cabling in both ISP and OSP environments. Support Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) for server and network hardware, including device labeling and connectivity. Perform fiber splicing and validation using OTDRs, power meters, and light sources. Install and secure equipment racks, cabinets, cable trays, and ladder racks according to design specifications. Label and document cable infrastructure accurately within site databases and network management systems. Provide smart-hands assistance for remote engineering teams during hardware deployments and maintenance windows. Assist with OSP-focused tasks, including high fiber-count cable installations, bonding, and grounding. Conduct site audits and inventory tracking for data center assets and materials. Identify and resolve Layer 1 connectivity issues, signal loss, or cable damage. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all data center security and safety protocols.Qualifications:
1 to 6 years of experience in data center environments, telecommunications, or structured cabling. Strong hands-on experience with ISP and OSP installation standards and practices. Proficiency with fiber optic splicing and testing equipment such as Fluke meters and OTDRs. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, cable schedules, floor plans, and technical drawings. General knowledge of server and network hardware components and configurations. Basic understanding of data center power distribution and AC/DC power principles. High school diploma or GED equivalency required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed documentation and record-keeping procedures.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to work at heights, off ladders, and in confined or restricted spaces. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Manual dexterity and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers for cable termination. Ability to see and distinguish different colors for complex cable identification. Must be able to work in varying temperatures, including cold-aisle data halls and outdoor OSP sites.Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $32 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.Benefits Summary:
