Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, the team is actively adding multiple leaders and looking to move quickly.
POSITION SUMMARY
This is not a mid-level design role—this is a project leadership position where you will take ownership of electrical scope on large-scale, mission-critical data center projects ($15M+) . You'll play a key role in driving design, coordination, and execution while mentoring junior engineers and interfacing directly with clients and project stakeholders. The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for owning the electrical design and execution of data center and mission-critical projects from concept through construction. This role ensures compliance with all codes and standards while driving efficient, scalable, and constructible power solutions .
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead electrical scope across multiple data center / mission-critical projects Drive power distribution design (LV/MV) including single-lines, feeder sizing, and equipment selection Mentor and oversee junior engineers ; review and approve design work Ensure compliance with
NEC, NFPA, IEEE
, and client standards Perform or oversee load studies, short circuit, and coordination analysis Lead value engineering efforts to improve cost, efficiency, and constructability Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and field teams Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation Conduct site visits to support construction and validate design Partner with Project Managers to align scope, budget, and schedule Act as a technical lead with clients and key stakeholders Support design-build and design-assist project delivery
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required) 5-7+ years of experience , with data center or mission-critical projects strongly preferred 2-3+ years of project leadership experience owning electrical scope Strong background in power distribution, grounding, UPS, and backup systems Experience on $15M+ construction projects Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD , and power system tools (preferred) Deep knowledge of
NEC, NFPA, IEEE
standards Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and influence decisions Field or EPC experience is a strong plus

M-F or M-Sa Salary/Compensation:
$110k-$140k (base 40 hrs) + OT (time and half) 5-15% annual bonus based upon personal and company performance
