Your shift opens with a sweep of dashboards: temperatures nominal, power stable, latency low. A server's SMART alert blips — you verify logs, schedule a hot-swap, and note precautions. A colleague flags a throughput dip on a top-of-rack switch; together, you trace the issue, document the fix, and capture a lesson learned to refine our playbooks. By afternoon, you're racking new gear, cabling cleanly, updating asset records, and validating monitoring thresholds before the next maintenance window. When the on-call phone buzzes, you're ready — calm, methodical, and focused on uptime. What you'll take ownership of Proactively monitor and maintain data center equipment to protect performance and uptime. Run routine inspections and preventive maintenance across servers, network devices, and critical infrastructure. Triage and resolve hardware/software issues; escalate complex incidents appropriately. Assist with installing and configuring new hardware and software systems. Record all maintenance, repairs, and changes in accordance with company procedures. Partner with teammates to streamline processes and boost operational efficiency. Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies when required. What you bring Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline — or equivalent experience. 1-3 years in a data center or IT support environment. Solid grasp of server hardware, networking fundamentals, and data center operations. Comfort with monitoring platforms and structured troubleshooting approaches. Clear communication and strong teamwork habits. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment; comfortable in a physically demanding setting. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
