  • Design, develop, implement, enhance, and support Oracle database systems in support of business goals.
  • Taking necessary actions based upon the alerts.
  • Alerts could be triggered when the disk usage on file system is full, when there is a failure in backup's, database and listeners went down, Linux operating systems related issues.
  • Alert's will be sent out to the entire team via emails and internal chat messenger.
  • Partner with other ops teams to maximize availability in current and planned systems.
  • Working on database installations and upgrades when required.
  • Applying PSU patches released by Oracle Corporation for every quarter.
  • Working closely with Oracle support teams to resolve any issues.
  • Performance tuning, identify the slow running queries and tune those to increase performance.
  • Created and managed jobs, setup alerts, SQL mail agent and scheduling SSIS packages.
  • Resolving user raised tickets on day to day basis. Tickets could be related to performance issues, database locks, delays while executing queries
  • Refreshing tables and schemas from prod to non-prod based upon the tickets.
  • User management tickets such as user creations, adding users to the groups, providing policies and roles to the users and access to the databases.
Critical Technical Production Issues Resolution:
Root Cause Analysis, Strong Debugging Techniques, Collaboration with various technical teams, Strong Understanding of business flows and integrated up stream & downstream applications.
  • Perform debugging and Analytical skills to identify resolve the problem
  • Creation and performance tuning of databases.
  • Troubleshooting the client DBMS connectivity issues.
  • Planning and implementing Oracle databases backup and restoration.
  • Closely working with other teams in reviewing security policies and participating in annual audits.
  • Analyze performance requirements for the projects by code quality and coverage using Unit testing tools.
  • Participating in daily stand up's for daily work progress.
  • Attending scrum and retrospective meetings to improve the process on what went well and what needs to be improved over the sprint?
  • Participating in team meetings, demos, and PI planning sessions.
Bachelor's Degree is required in
