Data Center Technician:

The Technician will be responsible for performing structured cabling installations and server rack deployments in a data center environment. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic.

Technical training will be provided on the job; prior experience is not required. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team under the direction of on-site Salute Leadership.

Columbus, OH Metro Site Specific Information:

Our team handles a wide range of technical projects, with a primary focus on rack movements at this site. Our current work includes unloading, staging, and securing racks, ensuring they are properly leveled. Some projects may require additional training, such as cabling etc.

The primary work site is in Johnstown, OH, and the average commute is approximately 25 minutes. While most work will be at this location, occasional travel between client sites may be required, primarily for training or specific project needs. Travel to other locations in the US may be required at times.

Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specificationsAssistwith server rack deployments and related hardware setupFollow safety protocols andcompany procedures at all timesMaintain a clean and organized work environmentComplete tasks assigned by the Team Lead ina timelyandaccuratemannerSupport quality assurance efforts by adhering to installation standardsCommunicate clearly and respectfully with team members and supervisorsAbility to follow precise instructionsPerform material movement including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard processPerform Data Center pre-cabling to industry standardsDetailed physical inventory tracking and stagingTimely responsiveness via MS Outlook, MS Teams, text, and/or phone

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

Travel Opportunities:

Compensation & Benefits DisclosureThe hourly rate for this role is $25.00 per hour. This range reflects a goodfaith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. This posted hourly rate is the final rate of pay for the position, based on jobrelated factors consistent with applicable law.
