New Jersey (Hybrid) Job Summary Skill sets required: DBA (082 z/OS, Datacom/DB VSAM, Data Migration) We are seeking a hands-on Application DBA to support a mainframe modernization initiative involving legacy data structures and both relational and network style/ma1nframe database technologies (including IBM Db2 for z/OS and Datacom/DB). This role is focused on data extraction, transformation, performance tuning, and schema/data model evolution, rather than traditional database administration. The ideal candidate will work closely with application developers and modernization teams to enable efficient data extraction, migration and optimize database interactions Key Responsibilities Application-Focused Database Work Analyze and understand legacy data structures including VSAM files and database objects in IBM Db2 for z/OS and Datacom/DB Design and optimize data models/schemas aligned with modern application needs Develop and tune SQL queries (DB2) and support Datacom access patterns for performance and scalability Identify and resolve 1neff1cient data access patterns
