Job Description:
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Center Hands & Feet Resource to provide Level 2 (L2) support within our data center operations. This role involves advanced hardware diagnostics, coordination with vendors for repairs, inventory management, and support for remote troubleshooting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data center infrastructure and be capable of handling escalated technical issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of server, storage, and network hardware.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendor repairs and maintenance activities within the data center.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory of hardware components and spare parts.
  • Support remote teams with hands-on tasks including hardware replacement, cabling, and system reboots.
  • Ensure compliance with data center operational procedures and safety standards.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to escalated incidents promptly. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of data center operations and infrastructure components.
  • Hands-on experience with server, storage, and networking hardware.
  • Ability to perform advanced hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Experience coordinating with hardware vendors and service providers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and asset tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and procedures.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle escalated issues effectively. Work Environment This role is based in a physical data center environment and may require lifting and moving equipment.
