Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Associate Data Center Technician - Onsite position with a Global Professional Network located in Richardson, TX. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

As an Associate Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware failures, including hard drives and DIMMs. This role involves the installation of new SSD and NVME drives, as well as the installation, termination, and testing of copper and fiber network cabling within the data center. Working under the mentorship of senior technicians, you will be critical in maintaining the stability and performance of enterpriseputer systems.

Responsibilities:

Installation, routing, termination, and testing of structured network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a copper and fiber optic)

Dressing, labeling, and management of network cabling in accordance with industry standards

Troubleshooting and resolution of cabling and physical-layer connectivity issues

Troubleshooting and resolution of failed hard drives and DIMMs within server nodes

Installation of new SSD and NVME hard drives into existing servers

Troubleshooting and resolution of console connectivity, power supply, and RDU issues

Troubleshooting and resolution of all tier 1 server hardware break fix issues

Respond to all system problems on a 24x7 basis and take part in an on-call rotation

Assist Data Center Technicians in OS level and network troubleshooting

Process server nodes for dmissioning

Requirements:

• 2 years in a Data Center Engineering Role
• 2 years Linux troubleshooting experience
• 2 years server hardware troubleshooting experience

Desired skills:

Experience with structured network cabling installation, termination, and testing (copper and fiber)

Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting

Familiarity with server hardwareponents and troubleshooting

A plus certification

Strongmunication and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Pay range: $23.54 - $32.96 per hour
