Paid Time Off:
20 days of vacation per year, accruing at a rate of 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years of employment

40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks
Baby Bonding Leave:
18 weeks

13 paid days per year Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role. 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field, or an equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in software engineering and development. 3 years of experience managing and technically leading software engineering teams, and working on large-scale Cloud or SaaS products. Experience with building and scaling enterprise database services. Experience with scaling and performance tuning of high scale/low latency systems. Experience with software development in building full-stack applications using one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Go, or Python. About the job The team provides a managed SQL Server offering, one fast growing database offerings within Cloud SQL. The team handles all aspects of database service implementations, which includes high availability, backups, database point of time recovery, performance improvements, integration with Google Cloud Ecosystems, and growing the customer base with our premium Enterprise Plus offering. In this role, you will lead the Cloud SQL for SQL Server team. You will be responsible for building and growing the product that offers managed SQL Server service on GCP. You will guide a team of talented software engineers to build and evolve features including but not limit to data protection, migration, integration, core engine areas for the service Google Cloud accelerates every organization's ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google's cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

$207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers. Lead the technical goal and execution for multiple areas within Cloud SQL for SQL Server Product. Participate in design, architectural and operational decisions, driving software engineering projects from definition to delivery and maintenance. Partner closely with Product Management, UX, and other Engineering teams to define and deliver a high-impact product roadmap. Partner across Google Cloud Platform to align products and businesses towards a unified customer experience. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
