As a Lead Engineer-Database at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL databasesMonitor database performance and ensure optimal efficiencyPerform database tuning (queries, indexes, execution plans)Manage backup and recovery strategies to prevent data lossEnsure high availability using clustering, replication, and failover mechanismsHandle database upgrades, patches, and migrationsTroubleshoot database issues and resolve incidents promptlyManage user access, roles, and database securitySupport application teams with database-related queries and deploymentsMaintain database documentation and standardsAs a valued member of our team, you will provide work estimates for assigned development work, and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies being built for interested parties. Required Technical and Professional Experience
  • 5 to 7 Years as Lead Engineer
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database and SQL Server
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and monitoring tools
  • Experience with backup and recovery (RMAN, Data Pump, etc.)
  • Understanding of database security and access control
  • Experience with high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard, Always On)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with database automation and scripting (Shell, Python)
  • Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Nagios, Splunk)Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Certification in SQL/Oracle is Preferred
