Information Technology Coordinator

Job Description

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or IT certifications preferred. Experience in computer support, networking, or related IT work. Previous Library or public service experience a plus, but not required. Commitment to customer service and supporting community access to technology. Willingness to be flexible with work schedule, including staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities. Position Summary Full-time 35- 40-hour workweek expected and may vary depending on technology and program needs. The salary for this position will start at $32,500 annually, depending on the applicant's experience and qualifications. The IT Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and supporting all technology within the Library. This includes computers, printers, Wi-Fi, networks, software, and other electronic equipment. The Coordinator ensures that staff and patrons have reliable access to technology and provides training, troubleshooting, and technical expertise to keep the Library running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Maintain Network Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and other technology. Manage and monitor the Library's network, Wi-Fi, and internet access. Provide technical support to staff and patrons with hardware, software, and digital services. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and connectivity issues in a timely manner. Maintain Library servers, integrated Library system (ILS) access, and digital resources. Ensure technology security through updates, backups, and antivirus/anti-malware practices. Upkeep & Planning Recommend technology upgrades and assist with planning future Library technology needs. Maintain an inventory of all Library technology and equipment. Train Library staff on new technology, software, and best practices. Work with outside vendors and service providers as needed for repairs or upgrades. Maintain data analytics for circulation reporting Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively. Familiarity with Library automation systems and digital services preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand way. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Ability to build and stay within budget for all technology. Ability to operate and troubleshoot makerspace hardware: o 3D printers and scanners o Laser engravers/cutters o Robotics and coding equipment o Audio/video production equipment and software o Textile equipment like sewing machines and vinyl cutters A working knowledge of common software suites is necessary o Microsoft Office and Google Workspace o Design and editing software like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite o Website management platforms You must apply on the
