  • Responsibilities
  • + Creation of data pipelines to move data from source applications to BI Platforms (SQL server, Teradata EDW, Data Lake, Snowflake).
+ Review Data Integration (ETL/ELT) requirements and design ETL following design pattern standards and SDLC procedures established by Kiewit Technology Group. + Extract data from various source systems such as database systems, file systems and cloud-based systems (e.g. API acquisition) + Tests, Documents and Schedules the ETL Integrations. + Plays an integral part of an agile delivery team comprising of product owners, project managers/scrum masters, cross functional IT team members including other reporting team members.
  • Qualifications
  • + Awareness of database environments (MSSQLServer, Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Snowflake, etc) + Awareness of distributed systems and big data storage formats (eg DataLake, HDFS, Spark, ORC, Avro, Parquet) + Passion for data analysis.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills + Passion to keep current and adapt to emerging technologies in the Data Engineering space.
