Description:
Hybrid Mostly Remote We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect / Senior Data Warehouse Developer to serve as a key technical authority and subject-matter expert for enterprise database environments and automated data integration workflows. This role focuses on data modeling, designing robust data repositories, and developing automated ETL pipelines pulling from flat files, relational databases, and APIs. The architect will also play an instrumental role in data modernization, migrations, and mentoring development staff. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-class data repositories built on modern Oracle platforms (both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments). Build, deploy, and monitor fully automated ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from diverse sources, including flat files, external databases, and REST APIs. Develop and maintain dimensional and tabular data models supporting scalable analytics and reporting. Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, views, and automated scheduling scripts. Implement business intelligence and data reporting solutions utilizing platforms such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). Establish disciplined standards for process monitoring, error handling, metadata creation, and technical documentation. Author architectural diagrams and system blueprints; deliver technical mentorship and guidance to team members across engineering teams. Partner with technical leadership and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into high-performing, reliable data architecture. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven track record as a Database Architect, Senior Data Warehouse Developer, or Senior Oracle DBA. Deep expertise across modern Oracle ecosystems (on-premises and cloud). Strong background in dimensional modeling, data warehousing methodologies, and data governance standards. Prior public sector (local, state, or federal government) experience is highly valued.
