Assistant Lab Information Systems Coordinator - Summit Medical Group Summit Medical Group, P.L.L.C. - 2.9 Knoxville, TN Job Details Full-time 3 days ago Qualifications Clinical laboratory experience Database administration Full Job Description Summit Medical Group is recruiting for an Assistant Lab Information Systems Coordinator. This is a full-time opportunity. This position is responsible for database administration and full understanding and expertise with all modules of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) software. This includes building, maintaining, and updating necessary databases, dictionaries, etc. and setting up and monitoring of interfaces, training clinic personnel, investigating feasibility and appropriateness of new functionalities for the laboratory, and on-going monitoring of use by laboratory personnel. Also acts as a liaison between the Information Systems department and Orchard personnel. Works with the Electronic Health Records team to set up and monitor lab ordering and result delivery. This position also works the bench in all lab departments. Education Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred. Medical Laboratory Technician degree considered. Bachelor's degree in other health related fields with string database administration also considered. Experience Minimum of one-year experience in all areas of the Summit Medical Group's central laboratory required. Previous laboratory database administration required. Certification/License Tennessee Laboratory Professional License preferred; American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCP) certification preferred.
