Job Description

Data Architect Onsite (Dallas, TX/ Jersey City, NJ)
Rate:
DOE Primary Responsibility Design and govern enterprise data architecture strategies, data modeling frameworks, and data platform standards that enable scalable, secure, and compliant data ecosystems across cloud and on-premises environments. Required Skills Strong enterprise data architecture design experience across relational, NoSQL, and data lakehouse paradigms Deep expertise in data modeling: conceptual, logical, and physical models Experience with cloud-native data platforms: AWS (Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, S3), Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent Strong understanding of data governance frameworks: data cataloging, lineage, classification, and stewardship Experience implementing data mesh or data fabric architectures in large enterprises Proficiency with metadata management tools (e.g., Apache Atlas, Collibra, Alation) Experience designing data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows at enterprise scale Understanding of data security and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, PCI-DSS) Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code principles applied to data platform provisioning Experience collaborating with data engineering, analytics, and platform engineering teams Strong knowledge of API-based data access patterns and data product thinking Ability to define and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices across business units Experience with real-time and streaming data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent) Strong communication skills to translate complex data architecture concepts for non-technical stakeholders
