About the role Insight Xcite is seeking a Data Management & Data Governance Professional to support mission-critical data programs within the Intelligence Community. This role focuses on establishing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise data governance practices, cataloging mission and enterprise data assets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and policy requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with data cataloging platforms, metadata management, compliance frameworks, and enterprise data governance processes. They thrive in structured, fast-paced environments and enjoy partnering with technical, operational, and policy stakeholders to improve data quality, accessibility, and trustworthiness. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, mission requirements, and overall alignment with customer and contract needs. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance policies, standards, and procedures Catalog mission and enterprise data assets, including metadata capture, lineage documentation, and stewardship workflows Support compliance with federal, IC, and organizational regulations, including security, privacy, and data handling requirements Partner with mission stakeholders, system owners, and technical teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and lifecycle management Conduct assessments of data maturity, governance gaps, and compliance risks Facilitate data stewardship activities and promote governance best practices across teams Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories Support integration of data governance capabilities into enterprise platforms and services Contribute to secure data management practices aligned with mission needs Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Minimum 6 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related fields Experience with enterprise data cataloging platforms (e.g., Collibra, Apache Atlas, DataHub, or similar) Experience developing or implementing data governance policies, standards, and workflows Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., privacy, security, retention, IC data handling requirements) Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data quality principles Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Intelligence Community or government environments Experience with data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data platforms Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure Experience with data security, access control, or audit processes Experience with ServiceNow, data cataloging tools, or governance automation Relevant technical or governance certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP, Collibra Ranger) Strong written and verbal communication skills Clearance Requirement Due to the nature of our work, Insight Xcite does not sponsor or process security clearances at this time. Work Location Requirement All Insight Xcite positions are onsite. We do not offer remote or hybrid opportunities.
