We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and maintain efficient and secure database systems. Collaborate with software developers and system architects to ensure seamless integration of database systems. Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for optimal efficiency. Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of database queries. Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of data. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices. Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability in the event of system failures. Test and validate backup and recovery processes regularly Investigate and resolve database-related issues promptly. Provide technical support to teams regarding database-related inquiries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support their database needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures, configurations, and procedures.REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role. Strong proficiency in database design, implementation, and optimization. Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus. Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance standards. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
