Job Description
Job Description The SQL Database Developer will support and optimize the databases that power product information systems, including product selectors, configurators, pricing tools, and website applications. This role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, database performance, scalability, and reliability while partnering with development, engineering, and product teams to deliver a seamless user experience.

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases that support product information systems, configurators, pricing tools, and website applications.
- Manage and improve product data, including attributes, pricing, and lead-time information, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor database performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization solutions.
- Maintain and enhance legacy database systems while supporting scalability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support to end users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Establish and maintain data quality controls to ensure database integrity and dependable reporting.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials related to database management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by researching new technologies and recommending enhancements to the database infrastructure.
- Ensure database solutions meet company standards and effectively support customer-facing product information experiences.

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 8+ years of SQL development and database design experience (T-SQL preferred).
- 2+ years of data analysis and reporting experience using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Strong database architecture, information management, and data modeling skills.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with web services, version control (Git), and software development best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
- Ability to work during Eastern or Central time zone business hours.
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Mechanical engineering or manufacturing industry experience.
