Job Description

Snyder Brothers, Inc., an independent gas producer located in Kittanning, PA is currently looking for a full-time GIS Technician to join our team. Core Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and maintain GIS spatial databases to facilitate day-to-day operations.
  • Generate map products for leasing projects, rights of way or other land related topics.
  • Perform geospatial analysis to support planning, engineering, operations, and exploration.
  • Compile and integrate geospatial data from multiple sources (maps, satellite imagery or field collected data) into GIS systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness; conduct quality checks on team members' work.
  • Update / maintain ArcGIS Online Web Maps tailored for end-users' needs.
Experience, Training and Requirements:
  • Technical certificate, associate degree or bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related field. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for formal education such as two or more years in a related position.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ESRI desktop tools) for data editing, querying, map/report creation.
  • Knowledge with mathematical principles in the areas of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn and effectively communicate with co-workers to work towards completing company's goals.
