Job Summary The Network Analysis Specialist II is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the accuracy of hydraulic models used to support gas distribution system planning and operations. This role updates models to reflect system changes and customer load additions, validates model performance against real-world field data, and partners with engineering and operations teams to ensure models are trusted, accurate tools for decision-making. Duties and Responsibilities Update hydraulic models to incorporate facility additions or changes and customer loads. Periodically validate models using actual observed system performance measurements (i.e. pressure, flow). Sequence and extract completed GIS jobs for incorporation into the hydraulic model. Review validated models with area engineering and local operations to ensure accuracy and increase buy-in from key stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Manipulation of GIS data and databases to update Synergi models. General understanding of gas pipeline flow. Familiarity with GIS and modeling software such as Smallworld, ESRI (ArcGIS), Synergi Gas, and Customer Management Module (CMM). Proficiency with various MS Office applications. Analytical and troubleshoot skills. Technical writing skills. Education and Experience Associate Degree in GIS, Engineering or related field and/or a working knowledge and experience with GIS or modeling technology. One to two years' work experience in a utility or GIS position preferred. UGI Utilities, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
