Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the preparation and submittal of fiber optic ROW permits, railway crossing permits, and 404 permits to the Army Corps of Engineers. Requires knowledge of municipal processes, codes and ordinances, as well as frequent interface with local governments, DOT, and other jurisdictions. Other tasks will include helping the GIS department with various GIS projects.
Essential Job Functions:
Using ArcGIS Pro and Arc Online to create plans and measurements for several types of Fiber optic permits. Filing permit applications with government entities in a timely and efficient manner. Following up and completing any tasks needed to get a permit approved, such as securing bonds, COIs,and LOCs from our insurance company and bank. Collecting and cleaning GIS data, creating applications, and performing analysis for various departments throughout the company. Communicating with various government and private entities on the status of permits.
Essential Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail 8. Self-motivated and can accomplish an assignment independently. Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently, while working in a team setting Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously Ability to problem solve and provide solution alternatives Ability to comprehend contracts and agreements Railroad and waterway permitting experience. Familiarity with traffic control plans and MOT requirements Experience with permitting portals, GIS or tracking systems
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and servers Experience with Python or other programming languages Comprehension and understanding of construction plans, standards, terminology, and surveys $45k - $65k
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
