Must pass a satisfactory standard criminal background check upon hire We are seeking a GIS Analyst to provide GIS and geocoding support for election operations in Dallas, TX. This is a short-term, high-priority contract role supporting time-sensitive operational needs during active election cycles. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS, particularly ArcGIS Pro, and a solid understanding of geocoding concepts and address data. This individual should be comfortable reviewing geocoding results, identifying why addresses fail to match successfully, and troubleshooting data or configuration issues that may affect results. Experience with scripting, automation, or government/election environments is highly preferred. What You'll Do

• Provide GIS and ArcGIS Pro support for election-related operations and data.
• Perform geocoding and address-matching activities using ArcGIS Pro.
• Work with and troubleshoot ArcGIS locators and address data.
• Review geocoding and matching results for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate unsuccessful or incorrect address matches and identify potential causes.
• Validate and maintain the quality and accuracy of GIS and address datasets.
• Work with coordinate systems and ensure spatial data is properly represented and aligned.
• Troubleshoot GIS data, geocoding, and mapping issues in a time-sensitive operational environment.
• Support mapping and spatial data needs associated with precincts, polling locations, and election operations.
• Collaborate with election operations and technical staff to resolve GIS-related issues.
• Assist with scripting or automation of GIS processes when applicable. Required Qualifications
• Professional hands-on experience working with GIS.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS products, particularly ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience with or strong knowledge of geocoding and address-matching concepts.
• Understanding of ArcGIS locators, address data, and matching results.
• Ability to troubleshoot unsuccessful or inaccurate geocoding matches.
• Working knowledge of coordinate systems and spatial data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience writing scripts to support GIS workflows or data processing.
• Experience automating GIS processes or repetitive workflows.
• Previous government, public-sector, or election-related experience.
• Experience with GIS data QA/QC.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online.
• Familiarity with operational or field-based GIS workflows.

Ideal Candidate The strongest candidate will be more than an ArcGIS user. They will understand how geocoding works within ArcGIS Pro and be able to determine why an address did or did not successfully match. They should be comfortable working with locators, address datasets, matching results, coordinate systems, and troubleshooting data issues while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
