Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Technical Services Supervisor . This leadership role is responsible for driving technical excellence, supporting our customers, developing teammates, and partnering across the division to improve product quality and operational performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Foster a culture centered on safety, quality, teammate development, and continuous improvement. Lead sales technical services, including direct technical contact with OEMs and key customers. Coordinate communication of customer concerns and technical issues across production, maintenance, and sales teams. Manage the division's customer claims process, ensuring timely investigation and resolution. Lead defect investigations and root cause analyses for field performance issues. Drive product and process improvements across the division to enhance quality, performance, and customer satisfaction. Ensure the timely evaluation and disposition of production holds. Analyze production costs and performance data to identify opportunities that improve profitability and operational effectiveness. Coach, mentor, and develop the Technical Services team while fostering technical growth and leadership development. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a minimum of five years of experience in steel metallurgy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and coated flat-rolled steel products. Demonstrated success in customer technical service, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
