Owns a service-optimized operating model, ensures alignment of technology investments to business outcomes, and champions a security-first culture suitable for critical environments and distributed operations. This will be working within the Professional Services/Consulting space, supporting high value Developer, Architecture and Construction related projects. The Director of Information Technology leads an internal team of four Information Technology professionals and has access to external managed service providers, consultants, and strategic technology partners to scale delivery and expertise as needed. Core Responsibilities Define and execute Information Technology strategy, standards, and roadmaps aligned to Company's business goals. Own the Information Technology operating model, including the service catalog, Service Level Agreements, Experience Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, and governance cadences. Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio prioritization across Capital Expenditures and Operating Expenditures. Establish security governance, including policies, risk registers, and incident response oversight, in partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer or Virtual Chief Information Security Officer. Sponsor enterprise programs covering collaboration, identity, cloud platforms, data, and operational resilience, including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing internal Information Technology team of four. Leverage external technology partners and service providers to augment internal capabilities. Provide executive-level stakeholder management with Finance, Operations, Project Delivery, and Client Services. Lead vendor and contract negotiations, ensuring measurable value realization and cost control. Skills & Competencies Executive communication, stakeholder alignment, and change leadership. Strategic planning, portfolio management, and vendor negotiation. Proven experience leading and developing Information Technology teams. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework. Experience & Education Requirements Fifteen (15) years of progressive Information Technology experience, including leadership of an Information Technology team. Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience supporting projects/clients within Architecture, Engineering and Construction space with existing client relationships within this industry and within the DMV-area Reporting Structure Reports to the Executive Managing Director. Location & Travel Primary location Washington, DC with approximately 10-20 percent travel.
