Job Description
IT Manager
- Systems Administrator CL Burks Commercial Roofing | Cumming, GA (Onsite, with travel to branch offices across the Southeast) About the Role CL Burks Construction, a growing commercial roofing contractor operating 5-6 offices across the Southeastern U.S., is looking for an IT Manager
- Systems Administrator to own our technology strategy and MSP vendor relationship.
- Own the MSP relationship. Be the primary point of contact and accountability for our managed services provider — reviewing performance, auditing invoices against actual usage, and identifying cost or coverage gaps.
- Fill the gaps outsourcing leaves behind. Handle onsite support coordination, hardware lifecycle management, and anything our MSP's contract doesn't cover.
- Administer our cloud and business applications. Own Microsoft 365 administration and the software our teams rely on daily — estimating, project management, and accounting/ERP systems.
- Build out backup and disaster recovery. Establish and test a real business continuity plan across all our offices.
- Lead IT governance. Develop the policies, standards, and compliance practices that keep the company secure and audit-ready.
- Own the IT budget. Partner directly with the CFO on technology spend, procurement, and planning for growth. What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud services
- Familiarity with backup/disaster recovery planning and business continuity practices
- Experience in construction, field services, or another multi-site business a strong plus
- A vendor-management mindset — you're comfortable holding a service provider accountable, not just doing the work yourself
- Ability to travel periodically to branch offices across the Southeast Why This Role This is a rare opportunity to shape the IT function at a growing $100M company from a position of real ownership — not as a help desk hire, but as the person leadership turns to for technology strategy, vendor accountability, and smart, growth-minded decisions about where IT dollars go.
