Job Description

at Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology in Springfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Essential Functions Subject to management approval, serves as the Director of Information Technology (IT) Governance for the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT), reviewing, modifying, and implementing adherence and compliance with IT Governance objectives, policies, and processes and provides enterprise-wide communications. Directs efforts to ensure Proposal and Projects standard adherence associated with IT initiatives from other agencies. Identifies, develops, and manages performance to improvement initiatives to enhance the capabilities of DoIT in delivering IT services to State agencies, boards, and commissions. Serves as full-line supervisor. Participates in top level management meetings. Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures. Performs all other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in Management Information Systems, Data Processing or related field. Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in Management Information Systems, Data Processing or directly related fields in a public or business organization. Requires three (3) years of experience administering or managing enterprise governance platforms or architecture tools (e.g., ServiceNow APM, TRM, or similar), including improving workflows, supporting user adoption, and providing authoritative guidance on system usage and governance requirements.
