Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic IT Director to lead our organization's technology initiatives and infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive IT strategies that align with our business goals. Your leadership will drive innovation, ensure robust security measures, and optimize our IT operations across multiple platforms and systems. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies that support organizational objectives and promote technological advancement. Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, including network architecture, cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure, virtualization environments like vSphere, and data storage solutions such as SANs. Oversee system administration tasks including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, DNS management, server management, and network security protocols to safeguard organizational data. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions to ensure optimal value and performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS for payment security, NIST standards for cybersecurity, and intellectual property laws relating to software development. Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives to guarantee operational resilience in the face of disruptions. Supervise project management efforts utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver timely technology solutions that meet business needs. Oversee application development projects utilizing frameworks like Angular, React, Node.js, .NET, PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, and related technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Implement robust cybersecurity measures including firewalls, VPNs, network security protocols such as MPLS and DNS security practices. Promote a culture of innovation by integrating AI and machine learning solutions into business processes for enhanced decision-making capabilities. Monitor IT budgets effectively while ensuring optimal resource allocation across all departments. Lead change management initiatives to facilitate seamless adoption of new technologies across teams. Skills Deep expertise in cloud computing platforms including AWS and Azure; experience with virtualization tools like vSphere; familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure components including LAN/WAN configurations, MPLS networks, VPNs, DNS management, VoIP systems, and network security practices. Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB; experience with ETL processes and data warehouses is desirable. Extensive experience with software development frameworks including Angular, React (Express), Node.js, .NET (.NET Core), PHP, Python, JavaScript (ES6+), Java; understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies is essential. Familiarity with enterprise applications like ERP systems; expertise in APIs integration; knowledge of system design principles is required. Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks including risk management standards like NIST; experience with compliance requirements such as PCI DSS is advantageous. Proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills for engaging senior leadership and stakeholders effectively. Ability to manage complex projects using Agile methodologies; adept at vendor negotiations and contract management. Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies; experience with help desk operations and system troubleshooting is beneficial.
