Full Job Description Overview:
The IT Manager is responsible for leading the organization's technology operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity initiatives, and IT support functions. This role will provide strategic direction while ensuring reliable day-to-day technology services across multiple office locations. The IT Manager serves as a bridge between business operations and technology, helping departments leverage systems and automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with operational execution while supporting a growing, multi-location insurance brokerage environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring employees receive timely and effective technology support. Oversee IT support processes, including ticket management, issue prioritization, escalation procedures, and service delivery standards. Manage the administration, maintenance, and performance of company hardware, software, networks, and business applications. Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, and technology projects in partnership with organizational leadership and vendors. Serve as a point of contact for managed service providers (MSPs), telecommunications vendors, and other technology partners. Ensure technology systems are properly documented and that standard operating procedures are maintained to support business continuity. Support onboarding, offboarding, acquisitions, and office transitions by coordinating technology resources, equipment, and user access. Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for process improvement, and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to support cybersecurity initiatives, technology compliance requirements, and organizational technology standards. Supervise the Systems Specialist, providing operational guidance for day-to-day IT functions while partnering with and reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
