IT Manager - Building Facilities

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Management plus plus 5 years managing IT/S operations. Expertise in both technical and business facets. Strong knowledge in IBM AS400/Power9, SYS36 RPGII - RPG400, sub-file & CL programming with in-house applications in manufacturing environment. Some experience with PC/printer setup working in server environment with a 3rd party doing managed support. Candidate must be self motivated and well organized. Ensure operating capabilities of both the LAN and WAN networks are up for all hours of operation. Ensuring hardware, software, and network upgrades, installs, re-installs, changes and relocations are efficiently completed as required with 3rd party support. Windows 10/11 PC's and remote laptops in 3 locations including our plant in Toronto, Canada. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to work independently. Ability to plan and prioritize.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of recent experience with IBM AS400/Power9 RPG400 and SYS36 programming. Experience with IBM AS400/Power9 RPG400 and SYS36 programming Ability to re-write and convert older programs to current technology Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with end users Maintain software license inventory and software license compliance Maintain and support system, data security and confidentially of data Develop and maintain system and procedure documentation Travel to other plants as needed Other duties as assigned reporting to owners This position is privileged to highly confidential information.
