Job Description
We are looking for an IT Manager to oversee operational technology and business systems that support a production-focused distribution environment in Shelby, Michigan. This position serves as the primary connection between information technology and operations, ensuring systems remain reliable, practical, and aligned with day-to-day facility needs. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with leadership in system adoption, user support, and continuous improvement across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations leaders to identify technology needs, resolve system issues, and translate business requirements into effective IT solutions.
- Manage the performance, support, and ongoing improvement of production facility systems and core business applications in a Windows-based environment.
- Lead implementation efforts for business systems and serve as the key advocate for successful adoption across approximately 10 sites.
- Coordinate training and provide guidance to end users during system rollouts, including occasional travel to support location-based launches and onboarding.
- Oversee infrastructure components such as Active Directory, backup platforms, network hardware, and workstation equipment to maintain secure and dependable operations.
- Support and optimize applications including Microsoft Dynamics GP, CRM-related platforms, SalesPad, warehouse management tools, and other operational systems.
- Develop, maintain, and refine reporting solutions using SQL and SSRS to provide meaningful insights for operational and management teams.
- Establish configuration standards, monitor system health, and drive issue resolution to minimize downtime in the production environment.
