Full-Time Position Summary Abner Solar is seeking an experienced IT Manager to serve as the first on-site IT leader for our manufacturing facility in Welford, South Carolina. This position will be responsible for building and managing the site's IT function, including infrastructure, network systems, cybersecurity, manufacturing IT support, IT assets, and technology projects. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing IT background and experience supporting the 0-to-1 IT setup of a new plant, greenfield facility, or major site expansion. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of the plant's IT infrastructure, including networks, Wi-Fi, servers, end-user devices, surveillance, access control, and related systems. Build and establish site IT processes, standards, documentation, and support procedures to meet plant startup and future growth needs. Support manufacturing systems and the integration of production equipment with enterprise networks, ERP/MES/WMS, production data systems, and other plant technologies. Ensure the reliability, security, backup, and availability of critical IT systems and implement appropriate cybersecurity and access controls. Lead IT projects related to plant startup, new production lines, infrastructure expansion, system implementation, and factory digitalization. Manage IT assets, purchasing, budgets, vendors, contractors, telecommunications providers, and other external technology partners. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, HR, Finance, and corporate IT teams to address business and manufacturing technology needs. Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for critical or complex IT issues affecting plant operations. Build and manage the local IT team as the facility grows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, Windows environments, cybersecurity, IT hardware, surveillance, access control, and plant-level technology. Experience supporting manufacturing systems, production equipment connectivity, or

ERP/MES/WMS

environments. Strong project management, vendor management, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills. Ability to independently lead site IT operations and support critical manufacturing needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience building or launching IT infrastructure for a new manufacturing facility from 0 to 1. Experience with greenfield plant startup, new production line launch, or major facility expansion. Previous experience building or leading an IT team. Experience in solar, automotive, battery, semiconductor, or other advanced manufacturing environments.

Pay:

$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
