Job Description
Responsibilities Leading the implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of digital construction, geospatial, VDC/BIM, and AI-enabled tools across solar projects. Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and apply AI solutions that improve operational workflows, field execution, project controls, and decision-making. Analyzing business and construction workflows to define problems, document requirements, and prioritize AI and digital technology use cases based on value, impact, feasibility, and risk. Managing integrated construction technology resources, digital workflows, and department-level process improvement initiatives. Ensuring multidiscipline construction models are current, accurate, and aligned with modeling standards and project needs. Supporting the setup, management, and best practices of digital workflows across pursuit, planning, design, and construction phases. Coordinating trade detailing, design deliverables, model management, and construction technology requirements with internal teams, design partners, and trade partners. Liaising between design teams, construction teams, estimating, operations, and technology stakeholders to align digital solutions with project goals. Supporting pursuits and proposals by identifying opportunities to incorporate VDC, geospatial tools, AI solutions, and integrated construction technologies. Participating in project interviews, proposal writing, narrative development, and presentation materials related to VDC, AI, and construction technology solutions. Contributing to business cases, cost-benefit analyses, implementation plans, BIM execution plans, and digital technology roadmaps. Supporting user acceptance testing, rollout, and performance monitoring of AI-enabled and digital construction tools. Building user confidence and capability through training, guidance, change management, and ongoing support. Reviewing VDC, ICT, BIM, and integrated technology contract language and project requirements. Staying informed on emerging AI, geospatial, VDC, BIM, and construction technologies and contributing to tool evaluation and recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in architecture, engineering, construction, information technology, computing science, business, information management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of construction-related experience, including experience with virtual design and construction, BIM, construction technology, or digital project delivery. Demonstrated fluency with AI-enabled tools, with experience applying technology solutions in business or construction environments considered an asset. Strong understanding of construction sequences, field execution, project workflows, and the building or infrastructure construction process. Proven experience implementing construction technology, digital workflows, VDC/BIM processes, or geospatial solutions. Ability to provide project model management and ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models from design and trade partners. Understanding of trade detailing, design workflows, digital deliverables, and construction documentation. Advanced ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate project requirements into digital models or workflows. Experience with 3D modeling software, 4D scheduling software, planning tools, or related digital construction platforms. Ability to write or contribute to BIM execution plans and translate project schedules and scopes into VDC or digital implementation plans. Strong business acumen and understanding of how AI, data, and digital solutions can support operational efficiency and project outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify patterns, and develop practical solutions. Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
