Pearland, TX Job Overview:
As IT Manager, you will own the day-to-day technology operations for a fast-growing construction services company while driving a forward-looking technology roadmap that includes AI adoption, cloud platform development, and process automation.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Manage and perform daily IT operations, including user support, system administration, and infrastructure monitoring. Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, and Conditional Access policies. Coordinate and oversee external consultants and contractors working on specialized projects (SharePoint governance, AI development, security). Manage vendor relationships for systems and applications.
Own the technology roadmap execution:
track progress against milestones, report status to leadership, and flag risks or blockers. Drive AI adoption and automation initiatives, including evaluating tools, defining use cases, and supporting deployment of AI-powered solutions.
Manage endpoint lifecycle:
hardware procurement, imaging, deployment, patching, and decommissioning for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Maintain and enforce cybersecurity policies including MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, and security awareness training. Manage licensing optimization, renewals, and cost tracking across all platforms. Maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and a knowledge base. Support Azure cloud infrastructure including resource management, cost monitoring, and integration with M365 services. Conduct user training on new tools, security awareness, and technology adoption. Serve as the primary IT escalation point for all technology-related issues Core Working Relationships Senior leadership team Department leads (Estimating, Engineering, Fabrication, Installation, Finance) External IT consultants and contractors ERP and application vendors (Acumatica, Microsoft, VAR) Key Competencies Service-oriented mindset with a bias toward automation and efficiency Strong technical acumen across M365, Azure, and modern cloud platforms Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical leadership. Comfort working with AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging technologies. Technical writing, documentation, and knowledge management Vendor and consultant management and coordination Analytical problem-solving with sound judgment on build-vs-buy decisions. Curiosity about how AI and automation can eliminate manual work and improve decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven/equivalent multi-year experience in related fields. 3+ years in IT operations or systems administration Hands-on experience with M365 administration and at least one ERP system. Big Bonus Points if you

reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
