Project Manager Location:
Bloomington, MN (Onsite 5 Days per Week)
Employment Type:
Contract-to-Hire Compensation:
$45-$55 per hour, depending on experience About the Opportunity Beacon Hill's client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee customer projects from order placement through final delivery. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring schedules, approvals, documentation, and deliverables remain on track. This is not an IT or technical software project management role. We are specifically seeking professionals with project management experience in manufacturing, construction, building products, industrial, fabrication, or related environments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production setting, enjoys working directly with customers, and can successfully coordinate multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Guide projects from order kickoff through final delivery, ensuring milestones are achieved and customer expectations are met. Act as the primary customer contact throughout the duration of each project. Maintain project schedules and communicate updates regarding timelines, progress, and delivery commitments. Collaborate closely with production planning and scheduling teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capacity. Coordinate project documentation, customer submittals, approvals, and required project records. Administer change orders, including schedule adjustments, pricing updates, approvals, and billing implications. Provide proactive project status updates and address customer inquiries in a timely manner. Coordinate shipment and delivery schedules while confirming customer site readiness. Lead recurring reviews focused on project schedules, risks, priorities, and upcoming production releases. Assist customers with basic drawing revisions and project-related questions, partnering with internal engineering resources when design modifications are required. Identify and resolve project challenges to keep orders progressing smoothly and on schedule. Manage multiple active projects while balancing shifting priorities and deadlines. Qualifications 3+ years of project management experience within manufacturing, construction, building products, industrial, fabrication, or related industries. Proven experience managing customer-facing projects with changing schedules, priorities, and requirements. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to understand, discuss, and explain technical or engineered products to customers. Experience handling change orders, pricing revisions, schedule adjustments, and project modifications. Highly organized with the ability to manage numerous projects concurrently. Proficient in coordinating cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills. Preferred Background Experience working with custom manufactured products, building materials, construction-related products, or engineered solutions. Familiarity with project coordination in a production or manufacturing environment. Exposure to reading and discussing drawings, specifications, or product submittals.
