Reports to the institution in Tampa, FL. Can work remotely 1 to 2 days a week.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The IT Project Manager III provides leadership and oversight for complex network infrastructure projects that support the university's technology. The IT Project Manager III ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with institutional priorities. This position collaborates with senior leadership, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve outcomes that enhance network reliability, connectivity, and long-term sustainability.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

Project and Product Delivery:
Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of network infrastructure initiatives, including building upgrades, construction and modernization efforts. Defines project scope, objectives, resource budgets, and schedules. Manages risk, change control, and quality to ensure successful delivery and operational readiness. Aligns roadmaps, manages dependencies, and validates that outcomes meet business and user needs.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Serves as the primary liaison between clients, technical teams, vendors, and senior leadership to ensure alignment of goals and priorities. Partners with key leaders to define project approach, scope, and deliverables. Develops and maintains realistic project plans covering schedule, quality, risk, and communication. Tracks progress and dependencies, proactively addressing issues and keeping stakeholders informed. Builds strong, collaborative relationships that foster trust and accountability across departments.

Governance and Process Improvement:
Ensures adherence to institutional policies, standards, and documentation requirements. Promotes governance practices that improve visibility, reporting, and project tracking. Contributes to the refinement of project management tools, templates, and workflows, advancing the maturity and consistency of IT delivery practices.
10% Applies SAFe and Agile methodologies to improve delivery efficiency, visibility, and responsiveness to change. Collaborates with Product Management to ensure continuous improvement in planning, execution, and feedback loops. Promotes iterative delivery, transparent communication, and the use of metrics to assess and refine project outcomes.

Mentorship:
Provides direction, guidance, and mentorship to cross-functional project teams. Champions the use of modern tools, data-informed decision-making, and iterative improvement practices that strengthen both project and product outcomes. Contributes to the professional growth of peers and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems.
Six (6) years in any occupation in related positions with IT project management, leading large-scale Network Infrastructure and Cloud Computing initiatives experience .
Six (6) years in any occupation in related positions with IT project management, leading large-scale Network Infrastructure and Cloud Computing initiatives experience must include: Four (4) years of experience applying Project Management Professional (PMP) methodology; Four (4) years of experience in Product Management in Networking; Experience with Project Management Tools; and Experience with Network Infrastructure and Cloud Computing.
ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Employer will accept a Masters in Business or Information Systems and Four (4) years of experience in any occupation in related positions with IT project management, leading large-scale Network Infrastructure and Cloud Computing initiatives experience. Must have skills listed above.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
