Job Description

Savvee Inc. is seeking a confident, hands-on IT Project Manager to support our federal client onsite in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate excels at leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining strict control over schedule, cost, and scope, proactively driving progress with minimal supervision. This individual effectively manages the full project lifecycle while engaging with stakeholders. If you enjoy guiding teams, solving tough problems, and delivering results that matter, this position could be a good fit for you. Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Managing and leading complex projects and teams within schedule, cost, and scope. Proactively managing the project with little supervision, resolving action items, issues, and risks. Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. Controlling and monitoring project scope, time, cost, quality, and risks. Reporting on project performance. Managing stakeholder expectations. Leading and directing multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget and scope. Assessing project health and directing any necessary corrective measures. Creatively applying project management processes to address unique situations. Creating and applying comprehensive project plans, detailed project schedules, resource estimates, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities. Defining and documenting project work breakdowns and monitoring project status. Using Microsoft Project to manage projects. Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client. Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in engineering, math or science OR Master's degree from an accredited institution OR equivalent work experience in direct support of DoD system engineering including IT systems project An active PMP certification
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Eight or more years of experience managing and leading the successful realization of complex projects under a budget in excess of $10M An expert knowledge of all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, stakeholders, human resources and communications management A proficiency in utilizing MS Office products especially MS Project Must currently hold an active DoD Secret clearance Proven knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and handson experience applying AI solutions Strong problemsolving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills A highly motivated selfstarter Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
