Job Description The engineer will be:

Working in the Android hardware/HAL layerConnecting lower-level audio components to higher-level Android servicesSupporting audio plumbing and integrations throughout the stackWorking with audio routing, encoding/decoding, and AOSP audio architectureDebugging issues from hardware through framework layersSupporting Android applications that leverage audio capabilities, but primarily from the platform side Skills and Requirements 3-5+ years of Android Audio experienceExperience working within the Android Audio HAL layerStrong understanding of AudioFlinger, AOSP, audio encoding/decoding, and Android audio architectureExperience debugging issues across the stack (Framework → HAL → Hardware)Strong Linux / embedded Android development experienceAndroid Automotive OSGoogle Automotive Services (GAS)ExoPlayerJetpack ComposeAutomotive OEM experience (Rivian, Tesla, Ford, etc.) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
