Sunnyvale, CA Day 1 onsite Key Skills & Requirements 1.
Mobile Device & Firmware Recovery Mobile OS Flashing & Recovery:
Hands-on experience unbricking, flashing factory/custom ROMs, recovery modes (DFU, Fastboot, EDL, Recovery Mode), and performing device restore on Android and iOS devices.
Device Provisioning Tools:
Familiarity with ADB, Fastboot, Apple Configurator, idevicesinstaller, or vendor-specific flashing suites (e.g., Odin, Qualcomm QFIL). 2. Host & Infrastructure Troubleshooting Linux & mac
OS Administration:
Strong CLI-based system administration on Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) and macOS for host automation and daemon management.
USB Subsystem Debugging:
Deep troubleshooting of USB trees, port resets, hub enumeration failures (lsusb, dmesg, udev rules, system_profiler SPUSBDataType), and host controller bandwidth limits.
Host Provisioning & Automation:
Experience with headless OS installation, PXE booting, imaging, and basic infrastructure configuration management.
Scripting:
Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) and Python for automating recovery workflows, health checks, and routine host maintenance. 3.
Connectivity Local & Wireless Diagnostics:
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi (802.11 bands, SSID authentication, signal interference, captive portals) and Ethernet connectivity. 4. Hardware & Server Maintenance Good to
Have Server & Host Maintenance:
Hands-on experience assembling, maintaining, and repairing bare-metal server chassis, rackmount hosts, and test benches.
Component Replacement:
Installing and swapping PCIe riser cards, host controller cards, NVMe/SATA drives, RAM, power supplies (PSUs), and thermal modules.
Lab Infrastructure Management:
Experience with smart PDUs, KVM switches, network patch panels, and cable harness management.
