Job Description This hands-on Engineering Manager, Front End role will lead a mobile engineering team supporting a major consumer-facing platform and play a key role in driving the success of upcoming strategic initiatives. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership, guide the day-to-day delivery of a team of approximately 10 engineers, and help ensure the successful execution of front-end and mobile development efforts. As a net-new contract-to-hire position, this opportunity offers the chance to build and grow a team over time, initially leveraging vendor resources and eventually helping recruit and onboard full-time engineers. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a passion for scaling high-performing engineering teams. • Strong front-end engineering background with proven technical leadership — either as a formal Engineering Manager or as a senior/staff-level engineer who has led a team informally
• Deep platform expertise in iOS (strongly preferred) with working familiarity across both iOS and Android
• Hands-on React Native experience At least limited exposure (roughly 6+ months) to brownfield development — building on top of existing systems rather than greenfield-only background
• Android platform depth in addition to iOS
• Strong React Native background even if native mobile exposure is limited (e.g., React Native experience gained primarily on the web front end)
• Prior formal people-management experience Extensive (multi-year) brownfield project experience
