Job Description
ILLUSTRATIVE
ONLY and is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of tasks performed by all positions in this classification. Examples of Tasks 1.Content Development:
Develops dynamic content for multiple communication tools such as indoor and outdoor digital signage. Introduces innovative ideas and concepts to streamline processes. 2.Graphics:
Designs and develops marketing and promotional materials. Creates full packages with deliverables for posting to multiple communication tools. Ensures compliance with brand guidelines and design standards, 3.Photography:
Uses a DSLR camera on the filed and in a studio setting. Applies lighting techniques to produce professional quality photography. Operates a drone to capture photos & video Processes RAW photos then calls and edits in Adobe Lightroom. 4.Large Format Printing:
Operates large format printers to produce signage, banners, and other large-scale graphics. Performs print room production tasks including printing, mounting, trimming, and installing grommets for finished materials. 5.Motion Graphics, Video & Audio Production:
Develops dynamic animations and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite. Produces and edits high-quality video content for a variety of multimedia projects. Produces and edits studio-recorded audio for various projects, including podcasts. 6.Archival Documentation:
Organizes and maintains assets captured of events and activities for archival storage. Maintains the departmental standards for version control, file naming conventions, and the organization of digital media assets. 7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Multimedia Manager or the department Director.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
Knowledge of the culture, history and government of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC). Knowledge of Multimedia areas of design, digital signage, photography, video, advertising, and marketing concepts. Knowledge of graphic design principles, color theory, and creative storytelling. Knowledge (technically) of how to proficiently photograph and operate a DSLR camera Knowledge of motion graphics and animation techniques. Skill in creative thinking and visual communication. Skill in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and Audition). Ability to animate motion graphics and integrate them into video projects. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure while maintaining professionalism. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design, Arts, Computer Graphics, Animation or a directly related field. A Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Two (2) years of demonstrated successful professional experience in a related field.Equivalency:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered.Underfill Eligibility:
An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.Special Requirements Special Requirements:
May be required to work outside normal work hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License. Prior to hire as an employee, applicants will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Will be required to pass a pre-employment background/fingerprint check.
