Job Description
Technical Multimedia Specialist Pella, IA (hybrid) The Technical Multimedia Specialist supports the Product Marketing team by capturing, producing, and designing high quality visual content that enhances the organization's technical communication. This role is responsible for creating compelling multimedia and graphic assets, including installation videos, service and troubleshooting guides, technical illustrations and layouts, quick tips and instructional photography—that simplify complex technical concepts into clear, engaging visual stories. The role combines expertise in video, photography and graphic design to deliver cohesive, brand aligned technical content.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned. Video + Photography Plan, shoot, and edit video content that supports product installation, service, and troubleshooting. Capture high-quality photography for use in technical documentation and instructional materials. Oversee the full video production process: storyboarding, scripting, scheduling, filming and post-production. Edit videos using industry-standard software, incorporating motion graphics, sound design and visual effects to enhance clarity and engagement. Graphic Design + Visual Communication Design technical graphics, diagrams, infographics, labels and visual aids that clarify complex concepts. Create visually consistent layouts and graphics for manuals, service guides, quick-start documents and marketing assets. Develop branded templates and style elements to ensure consistency across technical and multimedia content. Support UI/UX ‑ style visual improvements for instructional or e ‑ learning content as needed. Adapt visual content for multiple platforms (web, mobile, social, training portals) while maintaining accessibility and readability standards. Cross ‑ Functional Collaboration Collaborate with engineering, product management, product marketing and service teams to ensure technical accuracy and brand alignment. Guide on-camera talent during shoots to ensure clear and confident delivery of technical content. Asset + Equipment Management Manage, maintain and organize multimedia equipment and production gear. Maintain an orderly digital asset management system (photos, videos, graphics, design files). Archive and catalog multimedia and design assets for future use. Continuous Improvement Stay current with industry trends in multimedia storytelling, video production, graphic design and digital photography. Recommend new tools, technologies or techniques to improve production quality and efficiency. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Advertising preferred; a nd 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.COMPUTER SKILLS
Excellent skill set in Adobe Premier Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects and Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Robohead is helpful.Similar remote jobs
