We are currently seeking Automation Engineer, with the below qualifications:

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Automation Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and overhaul work on electronic/electromechanical equipment. Position will read and interpret electronic schematics and identify components to manage and assemble projects. Professional Attributes Must be highly mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to use basic hand tools Must understand low and high voltage wiring Must be capable of reading electrical prints Must have knowledge of vision systems. Cognex and Keyence a plus Mill and lathe experience a plus Perform EOAT changeovers for production when directed Perform preventive automation maintenance as per instruction and assigned intervals Inspect equipment for defects and plan for solutions to prevent downtime General housekeeping around the shop and maintain safe work environment Maintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of components, tools and equipment Maintain electronic/electromechanical equipment to ensure it is in optimal running condition Work independent with strong technical knowledge leading team for proactive planning and maintenance Effective communication skills both verbally and written Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures Other responsibilities as assigned Desired Skills and Experience High School Diploma or equivalency required Technical degree or certificate a plus Strong knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshooting Basic math skills. Basic electrical skills Basic computer skills Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity Forklift training (can be completed on the job)
