Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Designs, develops, integrates, and supports integrated maritime communication systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilizes multidisciplinary processes, systems engineering methodology and techniques to develop, validate, and manage product-level system/subsystem requirements and architectures and ensure system integration.
  • Devises alternative system approaches, operational concepts, architectures, and system-level attributes that will optimize system performance, cost, risk mitigation, production, operations, and logistics.
  • Creates preliminary system design alternatives and manages design risk and configuration data from concept development through to product delivery and operational support.
  • Performs analysis, simulation, design, and delivery of systems.
  • Performs system requirement analyses, definition, and allocation.
  • Communicates status and issues; resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Provides assistance with system performance reviews and other capacity planning activities as required.
  • Investigates and thoroughly understands developments in systems engineering.
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Based on our government contracts, US Citizenship is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent in related engineering field
  • Four to six years related experience or equivalent
  • Shipboard integrated communications experience
  • Active security clearance preferred

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow

  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as VMWare, AutoCAD and Jira
