Job Description

Automation Enginer Florida up to $120k Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automation Software Engineer to join the growing team. Key Responsibilities
PLC & HMI
Programming:
Design, program, and implement complex process control systems primarily utilizing Rockwell Automation products.
System Commissioning:
Travel to client project sites to perform initial device checks, system tuning, configuration, and successful startup operations.
Technical Documentation:
Review, interpret, and work closely with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Electrical Schematics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with project managers, electrical design engineering teams, and start-up personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
Client Training:
Assist in training client personnel on the operation and maintenance of the newly implemented systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field. Demonstrated hands-on experience with the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix platform. Strong proficiency in Ladder Logic and structured programming from Allen-Bradley. Proven experience with Rockwell Automation FTView (SE and ME ) . Experience configuring and tuning field instrumentation (e.g., E&H, Rosemount) connected to automation control systems. Ability to travel as required on a project-by-project basis for on-site startups and testing. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Visa sponsorship like H1-B is not available).
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of dedicated PLC programming or automation engineering experience. Experience with PlantPAx (including embedded instructions within L8xP or later controllers) and FactoryTalk Batch (FTBatch). Familiarity with Ignition by Inductive Automation. Experience with Siemens industrial automation products (PLCs/HMIs). In-depth troubleshooting knowledge of Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profinet, Profibus, and Modbus. Professional proficiency in Spanish or German is considered a strong plus. What We Offer Competitive base salary tailored to your experience. $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
